Hey guys! Just wanted advice on my current setup.

So i have a standard 48"/18"/24" 90g. My current stock is a 13" tiger oscar, 12.5" hoplias mala, a 7" jag cichlid (trying to get rid of it its my brothers fish), a 10" polypterus endlicheri CB, and a albino clarius bathracus of 7".

My current filtration setup is an AC 70 ( with double bags of biomax), a AC 110, and a sponge filter that is for 100g tanks (dont know the brand its a black sponge that looks like a fat cylinder).

I was just wondering if this is ok? All my friends that keep fish keep either small community fish or african cichlids. Im one of the few that enjoys predators. Some have said im ok and some have said i have to much. What do you guys say?

If the tank is not new,

test water about 30 min after your regular feeding. If NH3 and NO2 are zero, your filter is handling the load.

You have a heavy load in your tank even if the Jag gets taken out. your catfish might give you some problems. For now, check also your nitrate levels ad adjust your wcs accordingly.

+1

And the addition of pothos will greatly reduce nitrates after awhile :D

well you don't have"too much", if there is such a thing,,, check parameters on a reg basis... fyi that's more or less the same setup for filtration that I HAVE ON MY 75'S,,,,,, FOR LESS STOCK

Well ill have to wait a bit for the tests. I recently crashed my system by making the genius decision to do a 50% water change with no prime and clean the filters at the same time. Last i checked my tank had 2ppm and 0 for nitrites and nitrates and a 7.2ph. But ya i guess best thing is to keep an eye on it for now.

Also what is pothos?

And your saying u have more stock and ur ok lol?
