ok, so have just had my first fish tank and it is certainly no monster (just 100 litres)

i also only have 5 little fish but planning on making or buying a nice big tank in the near future.

but for now im just taking my time so i can be knowledgable enough to run big fish in a big tank.

so i guess my question is "do you think i belong here?" or do you think i should have current involvment with big fish rather than just big plans?

cant speak for everyone, but IMO, you don't need to keep "big fish" to be on MFK . . . and if you want to keep big fish, you definitely want to be on MFK

welcome!

if you're asking that because someone flamed you for having small fish on a "monsterfishkeeping" site, then you need to ignore them.

Of course you belong here. IF you want to get monsters at any point in time, then you NEED to be here to learns as much as you can BEFORE you invest the money and time to take care of them.

The smartest thing anyone can do is research first, then buy later.

if you build a tank.. fish will come......lol heck ya you belong here any one who enjoys fish belongs here WELCOME!!!!

Better you learn about the fish before getting them rather than going out and buying a few Pacu and a RTC for a 100gal.

this place isnt just for large tanks and large fish. sure there is probably more experience and knowledge on here about those things than anywhere else on the net but there is also oodles of info on other fish too.

lots of people here have nano tanks and it feels like i see more posts here about 55g and 75g tanks than anything else, they are only 4ft long. hardly the monster tanks your probably thinking of.

it's the internet. do whatever you wish. no one cares what size fish you have. this is not some exclusive club. welcome . . .
