You could always quote it in the thread it was posted expressing youre desire to do so

I remember seeing something I said in someone's sig but can't find the thread I said it in. Too lazy to spend the time tracking it as it was well over 6 months ago.

People generally dont care-Only when one try's to steals another work or portray it as their own is when one will get upset and seek out options....
