do i have to use glue on bulkheads?

i am setting up a wet/dry sump below a predrilled acyrlic aquarium.
4 slip bulkheads exit the bottom of my tank, 2 drains and 2 returns.
i made 2 durso stand pipes that i would like to experiment with before permanetely attaching (pvc glue) them to the slip bulkheads.
how can i attach them temporarily without leaking and still be able to remove to adjust?

No, They have a rubber gasket.

Go buy unions for easy removal.

Also the durso pipe, I would not ever glue, just slip it in there

i guess my question needs to be... how can i make a tighter fit with slip fittings? pvc to the slip bulkhead is snug but leaks water.

Use teflon tape.
