Do i need a bigger tank for it to grow

By the way, how big do Tigrinus usually get in captivity.
Currently, it is measured at 17inches.
I have it in my 180 gallon and i want to know if i need a bigger tank for it to grow more.
Or can it continue to grow regardless of tank size????

Nice fish! I would think so-what is the width of your 180-atleast 2 feet?

mine grew to 18" in an 18" wide tank - no probs - until it died (nothing to do with the size of the tank) - it was a really steady fish -

I would go with at least a 2ft wide tank though for comfort - I've never seen one bigger than 22" in captivity.

In my opinion, the width of the tank is the most important factor for it to grow

As long as you keep the water clean it WILL grow no matter what tank size it only affects the size of a fish when its in extremely cramped conditions or the water quality is very poor and the fish gets stunted

Tigs will stay under 24'' i think

yeah it is in a 6ft by 2ft by 2ft .................
