I have few plants in my 30g tank I dont know the names of the plants though. Also I bought flame moss for my drift wood.
The seller said there is no need of a C02 system for the tank since there is only few plants. I just want to make sure if its okay. So far the plants seems to be healthy, I have a good filter system. No algae problems.
Its been only 2-3 months, I change 10% of the water twice a week.
Is it a "must" to have a C02 system in a planted fishtank? or can I just move on?

Thanks!

You do not need additional CO2 to keep or grow plants. You need CO2 to keep and grow especially demanding plants and to achieve magnificent planted aquascapes. Unless you have especially demanding plants or are attempting to achieve a magnificent planted aquascape, you do not need CO2.

no co2 isnt needed. but adding Flourish Excel as a carbon supplement wouldnt hurt.

if you want to try co2 you can easily setup a diy co2 reactor with a 2 liter bottle some activated yeast sugar and warm water and some airline tubing. Im running one myself now in a 10 gallon. You may want a few 2 liters for a 30 gallon but i think I would recommend trying the DIY version before you got out and buy a system just to see if its for you or not. Not to mention its extremely easy to setup.

no it is ABSOLUTELY NOT needed, if your plants are growing and you don't have a huge algae problem you do not need it.

the only purpose of co2 is to allow plants to take in other nuitrients (becuase they are no longer limited by co2) faster and outcompete algae. This results in no algae and faster plant growth.
