do I need aeration?

I have a 29 gallon tank with an angelfish, 7 cardinals and 3 cories. I am running a HOB filter. It's live planted with swords and has floating water lettuce. Do I need to run some kind of air-stone? I know the cories can breathe air and I thought plants produce some oxygen themselves so I haven't added any aeration because I'm trying to keep the current low in the tank.

As long as u have the water creating air by breaking the water you are fine..just make sure to do your frequent WC 's to keep a high oxygen level

How long has this tank been up and running like it is with these fish? If you needed more oxygen in the water the fish will tell you buy hanging out at the surface gasping for air. As long as you have enough surface movement to absorb enough oxygen for your fish then you will be fine.

As long as your HOB generate enough water agitation, i'll say No

I keep the water line really high so there's no "waterfall" from the HOB to the tank. There definitely is a surface current though because I have water lettuce and it moves around a lot.
