do i need more filtration

i have an almost over stocked 55g with tones of smal fish i have one empro 400 and a power head just to help cirulate the water do i need to get another hop filter or is this enuf i dont have the tank at the moment its at my dads and he keeps getting more little fish like neons and such let me know thank you for the in put

If all that will be in the tank is small tetras and other small fish, then with proper care, it could be enough.adding an extra emp400 might be a better idea though seeing as your father keeps adding new fish. and just in case he over feeds or misses a water change or something like that, the extra filter would come in handy.

no i have him do a 50%water change every week and i have him on a feeding time line with the different food i give them i might get another 400 since u said that thanks

Redunant filters are always best, even though a single emp 400 may provide enough filtration for the heavy stocking of your tank. If the emp 400 were to break, the heavily stocked tank will quickly become prone to ammonia spikes, which could kill your fish. So by adding the extra emp400 your are also adding some insurance.
