So I got a new tank well new to me stand dimension are 48x48 1/2 LxW however tank dimensions are 48 1/2x48 3/4 slightly larger so I figured I would go with a 49x49 piece of plywood slight my oversized to cover over the stand that is slightly smaller than the tank. Only issue is I can’t find any plywood that’s over 48 inches wide. Can I use 2 slightly small prices of plywood and put them together or is it better to have one solid piece

Will any or the frame be directly over the stand or is the whole frame only supported by the wood overhanging the stand?

Ply would probably b ok… id screw 2x4’s or 1x3 around the top lip of ur metal stand. Will b alot stronger that way for bottom support.

frame will be on stand just a quarter of a inch hanging off. I caved and bought 5x5 1 inch thick plywood and had it cut down to 49x49 inch. I didn’t realize how heavy one inch plywood is. Seems over twice as heavy as 3/4
