I have a one week old 60 gallon aquarium which i needed to get going in a hurry as my last 20 G started to leak.

I used old substrate ( not cleaned) and a couple of buckets of old aquarium water ( so as to help with the bacteria).

I happened to have a cannister filter ( 4 days old running) from the old tank and the new one came with a drip filter pump system. Please excuse me if I don't yet use the correct terminology.

I need to know:

If my toxicity levels are within spec and I am introducing o2 with a fine bubble stone and of course with the two kinds of filters incoming back into the aquarium,

Do I need to worry about CO2? What is the acceptable range of CO2 allowed in my 60 G aquarium?

I have live plants as well, quite a few.

Also about 30 fish ave size app. 4 cm each.

sounds like you will be fine. just be sure to keep an eye on ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

If you have plants, co2 is a good thing, as it will be used and put out as O2. If you have surface agitation though, worrying about your co2/o2 levels is mute. The surface agitation will equalize the o2:Co2 saturation with the air you are breathing.
