I have a pair of jaguar cichlids alone in my 125 gallon. I read online that jaguar cichlids come from areas with poorly oxygenated water so why would I need a bubbler.... can I take it out? they seem to be breathing fine without it. someone give me some insight please

Lol yeah. I don't use bubblers in any of my tanks. I do have hobs along with the cannister filters to help with oxygen exchsnge at the surface.

You will be fine without one. Good to see you have that size tank for the pair. The filters usually agitate the surface enough for most fish. HOB is a hang on back filter.

Hang On Back filter...

been keeping fish for decades and i stopped using airpumps when water pumps was available.... the only time I use air pumps is for decorative purposes. As long as you have adequate water circulation, the fish would be fine.

my breeding pair just fine with out bublers in the 145g, having a AC110 not a bad ideal, good mech filtration. i am hoping live in low oxygen water is not being translated to less water changes. 2 dif things.
