So ever since I got my CO2 system for my 55 gallon, the class diffuser has not been in use. That is, it hasn't been used correctly. When I first turned it on, so much CO2 was released at once that the diffuser hit the side of the tank and broke, so now the CO2 has been coming out in one bubble. Should I replace the diffuser, or is it fine as it is?

Yes...for sure. You see because it isnt DIFFUSING the bubble. That one big bubble should be broken up in a lot of TINY bubbles.
