My Cons are breeding and the eggs have been fertilized I guess bc they are brown. When they become wigglers or even small free swimmers or at any other time during the process do I need to remove the Male or even both parents so the little ones dont get eaten?

i leave mine in. both male and female care for the babies

Convict parents are excellent parents. They WILL bite you if you put your hand too close to them. Quite funny actually.

Yeah, My barbs do that, Feels awesome.

Nah, I wouldn't bother taking out the male unless he has a habit of eating them. :screwy:

Sometimes they'll eat them when they start a nw family if theres not enough space. But theres not many fish that are as dedicated as convicts.
