This is Buddro he is 3yrs old and was 13.5" when measured in January. About 2 months ago I put him in a divided 75 with a female and his spots finailly brokeup. In the past week he's developed a hump on his head. I don't ever recall seeing any jag with a nuchal hump so I'm freaking out abit. The 9" female is too small for him, hes' a damn brute! So she stays on her side 99% of the time. He seems to be acting ok, not as active as usual but I he's been that way since in the 75.

Jag experts: is my fish sick? or happy?

Possible deformity from a long line of inbreeding maybe. Never seen anything like it

they do develop humps but they dont quite look like that. when i bought the jag i have he had a huge head...it has since gone away for the most part

Thanks. If it is an injury it could be from him trying to get through the hole in the divider. I've never seen him do that, but that would place the bump in that location, I can't think of anything else he could have done to injure himself like that. Maybe I'll pull the female and see he it does. I don't think it's a deformty he's 3 and this is new, other deformed fish I've have showed up at a couple of inches the first year. The fact that it's aero (water) dynamic made me hope for nuchal, even though I don't like it.
