Do Jardini's Tail Change Color?

I have had my jardini for about 2 weeks. When i got him he was between 4-5'' inches with kind of gold fins and gold tail. Since than, his tail has become almost black, and his body has got become darker. Is he ok? Any help advice would be great!

Yeah, hes acting great. I just got him trained to eating pellets. Thanks

Yeah when mine was 5-6inches tail was yellow and red little bit of blue now at 12 inches red and black if you look really close bit of yellow.

Is there natural way to change him back? change gravel color etc...?
