DO larger tank mates stess them out

I want to add discus to my 450 gallon. Just rays in there which arent an issue.

There is a large, super friendly and gentle giant gourami. How do you think the discus will react? They have lived with Rays in the past with no issues just not the gourami

Honestly i dont have an extenive knowledge, but i would say that i wouldn't be a good idea, unless you were buying growth adults. Juv usally like to be with thier own size. I have been down this road a couple of time ignoring the experts... i just wasted money after they became ill and died or didn't grow because of the larger discus in the tank.... just saying.
