Do Multiple Cory cat species school together?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
At one point I had a school of emerald cories and a school of bronze cories, back before I had an appropriate school of each they hung out together mostly. Once I got a good school of each they would mingle with each other on a regular basis but they didn’t school together as often as before.
Make of that what you wish.

One point to note here is that a school of corys in the wild is numbering towards or in the hundred mark. So when you ask will they school together, it's a different question really. Corys will hang out together until the groups get to a certain size, but even then, in the confines of a typical aquarium you will see them interacting. They have been shown to recognize their type, but still, there is safety in numbers.
