The more babies my platys produce, the more curious I'm getting. Do platys keep only 1 mate during their life?
It seems that all mine are paired off and monogamous, and their fry seem to prove it.
My 2 blue Mickey Mouse are always side by side, and she only births blue MM.
Female sunburst and male sunrise = sunburst with red bums and bluish fins
Female marigold and male sunburst wag = marigold wags (they look like little bumble bees!)
It's a completely open tank, and fights are few and far between, so I'm assuming everyone has found "the one" and sticking to it. All of my ladies have had multiple batches of fry, always with the same result.
Anyone else notice that their fish are faithful, or are mine just odd?
