I have a nursery tank where I grow out all my cichlid fry. Recently i noticed some Jewels laid some eggs on a piece of driftwood. To protect the eggs from other hungry fry, i removed the wood and put it in the tank i keep my fahaka puffer in.

BIG mistake. The puffer found the eggs and gulped them all down. Ive been feeding him pellets, snails and frozen shrimp, so I thought his tummy was generally full, and he would ignore the eggs. Never again.

Hope someone else can learn from this!
