Well it was definetly a memorable weekend.

The 2 dirty lil AT dats I put in with my Armatus 2 weeks ago proved again they can NOT be trusted.

My footlong Armatus now resides in my freezer. Beat up one side and down the other. Looks like it smashed itself into something trying to escape the torment of those striped lil pricks.

I can NOT put into words yet how I feel about this...wait yes I can. SICK. Sick to my stomach. Didn't eat yesterday and haven't today. Just disgusted.

I waited almost a year to purchase one. Mine was the size of a AA battery when I got it less than a year ago. I've watched it grow at a ridiculous rate over the last few months.

If the fish gods came down to me and said "Al you can only have ONE fish" The choice would be a VERY easy one..... Take everything but my Armatus. What happens this weekend? "You can have everything BUT the Armatus"

And to think this "unicorn" as I called it was taken by a couple dirty rotten lil $30 pieces of crap.

If there was a smiley of a dat being strung up with a noose I'de use it right here.....

Now for the altimatem. Don't know if after this I can convince myself there is a reason I should continue in this hobby.... All I ever wanted was an Armatus.

There is always a risk when adding new fish to a tank...
please don't make the dats pay for your mistake though...

Who woulda thought that 2 5-6 inch dats would be able to even bother a foot long Armatus? There's been a 8 in NT in with the Armatus for almost 6 months. No problems whatsoever.... Guess I thought it would be safe.

Dats are currently playing nice with the knifefish. Lucky for them I have nothing big enough to feed them to........

Sorry man that is terrible. My armatus swam around with a 5-6 inch dat in his mouth when he was a foot long. I would have never thought this would happen.

Damn !!!! Sorry to hear about the Armatus... I guess the only thing to do is offload the Dats and get another UNICORN !!!! Better luck next time...

I wish it was as easy to just "get" another one.

Like I said I waited almost a friggin year to get one.

I guess if they become available again I'll know to get 2.

As said I never would have guessed it would have happened. But sometimes that's the way the fish game goes.

Step back for a second. Clear your head. You will come out of it either wanting another Armatus and still in the hobby full force, or wanting to shut some tanks down and take some time off. But either way take some time to make that decision.

Been trying to tell ppl that the old saying it'll be ok as tankmates as long as they can't fit in their mouths. The other thing to look at is tank size, did they enough room?
