do nuchal bumps go away

my question is if a fish gets a nuchal bump.and u then take out the fishs tankmates will the nuchal bump go away. and if it does go away could it come back?

yes it will, Male fish get the big hump when breeding and it will go down when they are not. Ken

yea it will go away and can come back... they dont only come out when breeding... they also sometimes get pretty big when other males are around to try show who's boss... big males sometimes also keep there koks alone cause they know they are the shizz

They can also go down with age, and feeding diets as well.

Kok's are reference to FH's. We use nuchal humps when we talk about real cichlids.
