ıve kept about 5 parrots ın the past, 2 of them ı got at 7" and the other three varıed ın colour but ı never got them small.

at the moment ıve got a FH parrot and a nıce lıttle 3" one thats red/orange ın colour has a closed mouth and ıs ın very nıce qualıty (both from sıngapore) and thıs fısh has grown black patches ın hıs fıns and on hıs body, does thıs mean he wıll grow some black patches as an adult? ıve seen lots of patterned parrots onlıne but not ın person. would be cool ıf he turns out wıth some whıte or black.

so wıll thıs black fade away or wıll ıt grow?
anyone have any pıcs ?

thanks El

My Blood Parrots were back/gray when I got them as tiny babies and turned orange/red as they got older. Don't know what yours will do though. I've never seen any other than orange/red as adults.

hello, I have juvi parrots...they are almost black...a realy dark brown with a red tint to them..
parrot fish get (if i recall correctly) a fungus that is black that will often grow on them.... for the most part it is harmless and will fade with time....parrots often go in and out of this stage thru thier earlier years....

yea my blood parrot has started to get a black blotch on the tips of his tail and a little on his hi fins he will be ok rite ?

blood parrots get black spots when they are stressed and when the quality of the water is low, make some water changes !
