hey payara owner notablly the Tat owners, i have a few questions. i am planning to get 2 tats and I am wondering if they absolutely need strong current. i have a large ehiem canister filter which water gently drifts into the tank with little to none oxygen bubbles. Is that safe enough?? The only other thing I can do is add a smallish bubbler. Will the tats be happy or will they die? worst of all, my dad has some sensitive hearing so when he is home for 3 days a week, he sometimes (for 2 to 3 hours) turn of my filters. Will the payaras survive? I need quick answers please!!

i leave my filter of for 12 hours one in awhile because i forget to turn it on back on after feeding and my payara and other fish were fine.

It's not required the cannister filter should be enough. If you really want to, you can buy a waterjet from a local pet store for $30. They aren't like scombs and won't die over anything. They are a hardy fish.

I don't run anything extra for current besides the returns of my filters.my armatus is robust and healthy.
