I purchased some silver dollars from a new LFS the other day that were a little odd. They have dark spots over their body, with a red tinge behind the gill plate and some red on their bellies. The guy at the LFS tried to tell me they were a hybrid of piranha/SD. I don't really care, b/c I was simply after silver dollars. They are about 2"-3" at the moment. I just want to know, could he be right?

That's kinda what I thought. Now if I can just figure out what strain of SD's they are....My wife will still call them piranhas, she thinks all my fish are evil.

Silver's when smaller in size will have a red tinge to there under fin and spots on
the body its also normal to see some red on the belly .
I have never seen a cohabe but have heard of them . I put a Silver in with
my Piranha and guess what CHOMP Gone It did not work for me .
