Do polypterus pair up?

i have a pair of ansorgii x endlicheri and they are always next to each other. just wondering.

Interesting.... In my tank my two biggest Polys a Weeksii and Ornate "hang out" side by side.(no breeding behaviour) My two Dels on the other hand are constantly fin cupping and head shaking next two each other. No hope of offspring though...

Yes they do occasionally

There are hybrids but i dont know how those are paired together
