So I'm just starting to learn all I can about rays with dreams of one day having one, or a few...anyways long ways away. I was wondering if Rays do better with a strong current in the tank or if they're better with more minimal flowing water? Or maybe they don't seem to prefer one or the other. Thanks for the help

I'm amazed at how fast you get responses at this forum. I'm used to waiting a few days. Thanks for you help.

Just wondering Dreamsofpeace if you're a moderator from plantgeek.net? Your avatar looks familiar that's all

I have noticed that Big Mama and El Guapo (14,12 inches respectfully) settle down in heavy current after a large meal. By large meal I mean 3 whole smelt each and 4 raw shrimp. When hungry all three rays "surf" the heavy current and then latch to the sides and squirt water out of the tank. -FM

Rays also love bubbles!

I have about 3000-3500 GPH circulation in my bar tank. The rays love the flow and are out and more active with it. Eductors are a great thing.

I figure with head loss my return pump is running ~1000 gph this eductor easily triples or quadruples the flow with no added energy cost.

they like bubbles and spray bars.....thats what mine like.
