Here.
Hello everyone,

I was wondering if rays appreciate underwater currents. I wanted to purchase a Hydor koralia for my tank to remove bottom detritus to the other side of the tank where the filters are (one overflow and an FX5 intake). I have two motoros and do not know if their native habitat consists of slow or fast moving waters.

What do you guys think? I have a 240G 72"x32"x24"

How strong (GPH) should i get if it is a good idea? They carry 400, 600, 850, 1200 GPH models.

I'm leaning towards the 600 or 850 GPH.

I have tryed a 1400gph model on a 240gal and it seemed a bit too stong. I would would have to agree with your 6-850pgh on a 6 foot tank as this would still allow the rays to use the whole tank and not get blown away from that one spot..... and yes, most rays seem to like a current..

i just turn mine on for a little bit at a time an hour or so and it really cleans up the tank. if you have it on all the time though it really makes feeding time a pain but when it is on they do seem to like it.
