I'm setting up a 55 with a WD sump and I'm thinking of putting a power head at one end to move some of the gunk to the overflow.

setup so far full 55 with Big basking box on top of tank 10" tall with her lights on top and a foot print of 11.5" X 15" made of black and clear acrylic. overflow, 10 gallon sump and a 350 gph pump for now(thats all I have)

if isnt to strong a litle corrent never hurt anybody and res are very powerfull swimers. Just make shure you dont overdo:popcorn:

is an old powerhead 301 too much? it can be turned down a little.

I guess you'll find out! :D

Just use your best judgement. If the turtle looks like it's struggling to swim against the current, then you should probably turn it down a bit. You say it's a female? Hope you have a larger tank available soon!

soon she'll have indoor pond plenty big enough for her.

i enjoy indoor ponds post pics of the pond when your done with it...and your questions answered but no they dont really like currents...i answered again anyway.
