Yup. My applesnails eat on my sword, but if you use fertilizers it shouldn´t be any problem. I also have vals with them and that is a good plant to have with snails since it is a fastgrowing plant and are quite hard compared to swords.
Mystery snails (Pomacea diffusa) do not eat healthy plants but they do eat the dead and decaying plant parts. Pomacea canaliculata and many other species of apples however will eat almost any plants you can try.
