I got this mala (not make stupid auto correct) 5 months ago it was about 2.5 inches. Now it's about 5 but it isn't as silver any more. It's dark grey to black. Here's two pics one is when I got it and now

Not drastic but yea you can find ones with different color sheens like green blue or red. I believe Argentina ones get green.
