I just wanted to clarify because a lot of people are keeping various plecos in various water chemistries.
Do some Plecos have specific care requirements?

Most plecos are fairly hardy and can adapt to various water conditions, But there are some that you MUST be careful with such as the golden nugget. They are much less forgiving with hardness and ph. My suggestion would be research the specific species you are interested in.
