I was at a lfs today and I saw a blue tinted silver arowana. It looked like a dyed parrot cichlid. I was wondering if this is just another dyed fish, or a color morph. Sorry about the bad quality.

Small black arowanas can look blue when they are young. I had a small one years ago that was really blue but it faded as he got older and then he looked just like many other black aros. That being said there's always the chance its dyed... unfortunately.

That looks nothing like a black arowana of that size. It is a dyed silver arowana, you also will find them commonly dyed pink also.

thats a shame there was another thread up about the pink dyed one and the store was selling it as "strawberry" arowana thats sad arowanas are so beautiful without anything whats the point of dying them
