You see them at every fish store they have preset desirable PH 7 , 7.5 Etc etc
My question is do they hold the PH there for a few days or what ? Anyone have luck ?

P.S Also how does it know what PH you have started with ?

They're not going to work. There are a lot of things that influence the pH such as hardness levels. Use the more natural ways such as crushed corals or oyster shells for pH increase or peat to lower but the main question is why fiddle with your pH if your stocks are fine?

Well I guess it's concerning because its constantly around an 8.2 and im keeping bichir's and GIANT danio's . Am I right to be concerned ? I intend to add some sensitive fish once the tank is fully and well established with 3 months under its belt. The four giant danio's are going in favor of needlefish and some leaf fish , Clown knife , Ornate bichir I think they prefer a PH thats lower.

Any help or input is appreciated.

You're right to be concerned over your fish but over that pH, no. Your fish should be fine. I don't know about the leaf fish but knives and bichirs should be fine.

so it would be inconsistent and semi erratic and require a lot of testing to keep my PH at 7.5 is what i am gathering ?

If your hardness levels are high, lowering the pH is quite a pain compared to increasing it. Just don't bother with your pH. If the leaffish are kept in the same water conditions as yours, you should be fine.

Ok thanks again bud :)
