Hi guys just wondering if tigs do better in groups or are they best kept alone or doesnt it make any difference?
I could get a larger one than mine for a good price but wouldnt want to buy if it would cause problems and roughly how long do they live for?

Steve

By themselves as most catfish will fight with each other. If you have the room you can do it but just be prepared that their fins will always be nipped up and the chance of having nice long streamers is not good

Thanks for the reply buddy.

Anybody else want to have a say?

Good point peewee:grinno:
But an 18" one for £250 keeps tempting me but i dont want to get it if they are going to fight,
or small ones for £80 each and have like 4 plus my big one would look AWESOME!!
Obviously when the little ones have grown up.

Go for it Steve, i have no experience in keeping Tigs, but i have kept many many species of catfishes and other bottom dwellers.
Ofcourse there will be a little territory struggle, but i dont think it would be serious when they get used to each other.

Thanks jakob but when we are talking this kind of money i want as much assurance as possible,it would look great though!!

It's iffy imo. Please lmk who it turns out.. A nice carpet of Tig's sounds nice!
