hey guys, when it comes to water changes, is it even necessary to take out the driftwoods/decorations to suck all the accumulated poop under it? if so, wouldnt it be very2 stressful to the fish? what do u guys do when it comes to this?

I find most detritus seems to collect under or near wood and rocks, (especially under wood) so I find to get the best results I need to lift the logs enough to get the vac under.
Bit of a pain in the arse, as some of mine are 4-5 ft long.

I vac around it, but try to take the decor out once a month to clean it and whatever got stuck under it.

Ideally you'd take wood, ornaments out etc; but I for one just vacuum around the bits in my tank.
