I really don't know, I live in the U.S. in a state that doesn't allow Piranha's!!

All I can own is a South American Pacu, the closest I'll ever get to a Piranha!!

The state that I live in doesn't allow them because some people release them into the natural water ways and they start to populate. This can be a big problem for the natural fish and habitat. So they did away with allowing pet stores and people owning them.
