do u need to change filter cartridges??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do the same and replace them about every 4 months. That is where the filter co.s nail it to you is cartridges. Mo money, mo money...

the plastic filter cartriges with the carbon on the inside and the blue foam on the other side...i keep those till they rip open , just rinse when they start to slow the water flowing through it , and clean them with a salt solution (like 2 or 3 tablespoons in a 5 gal bucket) then rinse them in tap water before putting them back in.

I hate those dang filter pads. I use to change them all the time when I was a rookie.....Now I just use AquaClear when I want a HOB filter
