Do we really need a MEDIA SUB Forum?!

I'm sorry but I don't like the MEDIA sub forum at all..

I posted a new message tonight with some new video of my JAG, because I havent had much luck getting good clear RECENT photos of him.

Right away the post was moved to the media lounge.

AH! Why do we need a media lounge when the post only contains links to videos.

It's not like the reader is forced to watch a video in a POST.

I just wanted to chat JAGS with some JAG fans and my post was moved to the media lounge like it was a Documentary on JAGS.

Yes it seems silly to post the video in the media lounge and then make another thread in the regular forum to discuss what's in the video

The staff has decided. The media lounges will stay. If you don't like them, you have the option not to approach them. We have the Photo and Video Lounge forums as well. Either the pic/video threads stay there where you'll have much more time used up to sift the threads or the media lounges where you can easily sift through without interfering with the discussion topics. The staff would like to encourage intensive discussions, not a collection of threads for show offs which defeated the purposes of the Photo/Video Lounges in the first place because people chose to post them in the subforums. Which is better? That's something to think about. Thanks.

Edit: Picture/video threads pertaining to intensive discussions will stay in the main forums so you are free to forward it to the moderator so it can be looked into and moved appropriately.

You can discuss the video in the media lounge. If the video is to show your fish, it belongs in the media lounge.
If it becomes informational it'll be moved the the regular forum
