do you anyone who overprimes but has had success?

in the past few weeks I realized I was wayyy overpriming. badddd.i was adding around enough for more than double the tank (125 gal) when doing 50% wc. I did this like 5-7 times. I obviously stopped but idk...I feel crappy about it now. my fish eat a lot too and I have a Dempsey that went from 2 inches to 5 in 3 months wich im told is really good growth rate. is there anyone on here who has massive yet healthy cichlids even tho you have a history of overpriming? just to make a fellow fish keeper feel better cuz I feel like crap about it. please post pics if yu can

Im was a horrible over primer. I use to do 5-6 capfuls in a 125 o.O although maybe im just crazy but ive noticed unexplained mini cycles. I dont know if they were related but i since stopped. Saw no effects on fish though.

tell me how I tested 2 bottle waters, my tap water and my tanks which are fully cycled and it kinda seems like theres small traces of ammonia in all. the thing says the water has to be gold and I never got a reading like tht, although it doesn't look like .25 it doesn't look like 0 so I used to test like a madman but I came to the conclusion that they must do that on purpose so u test like crazy and gotta keep buying it

Lol, maybe you just have too many damn fish in your tanks, you hoarder. :)

My water supply gets crazy in the winter with the chloramines, so I double dose until the spring time.

I age my water for my green terror in my 20 only cuz its easy, I also use half dose before adding just 2 be safe

The prime from my understanding is supposed to put the tank in a very small cycle, or in other words it gives a small dosage of a safer ammonia.
