I see alot of people throwing out wild guesses when they aren't even on the right continent..

Why? :nilly:

I am pretty good with smaller fishes, tetras etc or at least know in which genus to start googling but i leave things I don't know alone. I never identify monsterfish as I'm relatively new here and to them. I remember never really thinking many people kept monsterfish so i always kinda skipped them in books.

It must be a hybrid!

LOL

:cry:try not to unlrss im sure, but then theres the bad days without the meds:nilly:

I always look at "ID my fish" threads, but never respond unless I am 100% postitive and it hasn't been identified yet. I also always check out those threads to learn charicteristics of fish I'm not as familiar with.

my favorite is when you have 20 consecutive posts: "male JD"

LOL

looks like a tiger oscar to me.wait kinda looks like a piranha too.maybe its both?

i dont see the point in giving advice on something you know sweet F A about. its misleading for the person seeking proper info. the net is full of enough crap without adding to it.
