Do you attempt to ID fish that you don't know about?

I am pretty good with smaller fishes, tetras etc or at least know in which genus to start googling but i leave things I don't know alone. I never identify monsterfish as I'm relatively new here and to them. I remember never really thinking many people kept monsterfish so i always kinda skipped them in books.
try not to unlrss im sure, but then theres the bad days without the medsI always look at "ID my fish" threads, but never respond unless I am 100% postitive and it hasn't been identified yet. I also always check out those threads to learn charicteristics of fish I'm not as familiar with.

LoL, I always respond to the ones that I know or am quite sure of. If I dont have a clue as to what I am seeing I stay out of it.
i dont see the point in giving advice on something you know sweet F A about. its misleading for the person seeking proper info. the net is full of enough crap without adding to it.
