Yea I do, that's why I gave my Blackbelt cichlid his own tank.
I have a very similar story here it goes.
When I got in the hobby about 6 years ago I bought a 55 gallon and stand from walmart brought it home set it up and like most new people didn't know anything about cycling just though you needed to let the water sat a couple days. So after a day or so one of my buddies gave me his tinfoil barb. A day or so later went up to the petstore just buying what ever looked cool again like most new people not researching before buying just buying what looks cool.
Well thats when my buddy told me about this fish forum he was a member of so I got on line join and started reading different posts and asking questions. Found out my bala's weren't going to be able to stay in there for life but they ended up dieing anyways. After my columbian sharks kept dying found out they were brackish and that they got big. Well since I already had one and didn't want to take him back. They were just tiny babies. So I went out and bought another one cause I knew they should be kept it at least two's set up a brackish 10 gallon that I never wanted.
So now I have a 55 and a 10. A couple weeks later my buddy decides he's done with the hobby and the petstore won't take his fish so instead of him killing them I said I would take them. So got his two GT'S and oscar all babies. Again didn't do my research first after I found out what I got my self into. Went out and got a 75 and was giving two 30's.
So now I have a 55, 75, 30, 30, and 10. I had both gt's in a 30 the oscar in the other thirty along with a eel and pleco that was giving to me by some guy. Well they kept getting bigger GT'S started fighting. So the oscar was moved to the 75, the columbian sharks were moved to the 55 the gt's in the 30's.
The male GT was getting to big for the 30 plus I wanted a big tank got a 150 on craigslist. So now I have my GT in the 150 among other fish my oscar in the 75, other gt female in a 30 by herself and columbian sharks in the 55.
Ugh what I've done for my fish all because I couldn't bring myself to give away or take back.
