Do you hand feed your bichir(s)?

I usually do it, it's fun. But I also do it to make sure he gets enough to eat, because my goldfish are really fast and eat everything. So what about you guys, do your bichirs take food from your hands?

i re-started my bichir collection back in late may, so i havent had these fish very long, therefore they are still too skittish and possibly afraid of me and i dont think they will eat from my hands quite yet...

Okay that's f***ing scary, wow. Sometimes I have to move my hand to make sure my bichir doesnt take a bite out of me. Deathroll, huh? That reminds me of crocs. Did he rip some of your flesh?


Bichir addict, the bichir was unexpected. But I don't regret getting any of the fish I have, they are all awesome.

Upper jaw bichirs teeth are very small its like a good pinch but it held on and tried to get that finger it was actually kind of funny watching a 4 inch senegal try this-Anne

Mine is full grown, I hope he doesnt try to kill me
