Fish that happily will take a flying leap out of the tank?
Currently I have two fish known to 'jump'. My Oscar Brick used to do it at around 7" but has since stopped. He'd leap and grab a knuckle and hang on forcing me to shake him loose. Now he's content to bang the glass lid instead. Seems to have been a phase he went through. I'm not complaining...it was enough to stop his flapping at 7 inches, I don't want to do it now at 11 inches! Bad enough I get soaked when he's excited at the top.
My active jumper is my female parrot Patch...she's a hyper aggressive nutter at times. If I have her favorite pellets she gets impatient and shoots out of the water to grab one (even when a finger is attached). Fortunately I keep the glass lid at an angle so she doesn't have a clear lane to fly out.
