Thinking about switching my pool filter sand to black sand and just wanted your thoughts...

it depents on what species.hystrix are very ugly on black sand..motoro's are nicer on black sand.

IMO motoros look better on light colored sand but when it comes to tigers and flowers, darker is better. Heres an example of what I'm talking about.
just switched to white sand with my motoros and love it!! looks Great. I will post pictures tonight.

on black sand you see always poop and other dirty stuff.
black sand is nicer but dirty..
light sand is not nicer but it's more clean
