When you buy a enew fish for your tank, do you quarantine him to make sure he has no diseases before you put him in the tank? My original supplier has gone out of business and i am a little scared of what could be introduced to my fish from any new store that i purchase from. Yeah yeah I know the basics of checking out the other fish in the tanks to see how they are doing but I thought of see what you guys do when you buy a fish from the store that you have no history with.

I always always ALWAYS quarantine

^ ditto ^

I laugh at people who loose a whole tank because they rush or skip quarantine. Quarantining has saved me enough money to justify a QT tank constantly setup.

45g. and a 5g.

45g for new stock

5g for feeders

I have never used a quarantine tank. Maybe Im asking for trouble, maybe I've just been lucky...

I always Q a new fish.. I'll have a new fish in either a 10g or 29g depending on the fish size.. usually for about 3-4 weeks.
