So this has been bugging me for some time now. I rarely dream at night (at least i dont think i do) and when i do, i can never remember what i dreamt. I can only remember like a few images. And everytime I dream, i wake up friggin exhausted, and i feel tired for the whole day. wtf! there must be a lot going on in my head :nilly:

so is this completely weird and random, or does anybody else have the same experience? how come i can never remember?!?!?!?!?!

I very rarely remember mine either. The only time I remember a dream is when its a horrible nightmare or something really off the wall. I think it might have something to do with how fast you get up. If you get up quickly your mind shifts to the day and quickly forgets the dream. If you lay in bed for a while then you might remember them more.

I had a psych prof make us keep dream journals next to our bed. When we awoke we were to write down as much of our dream as possible and then intepret them. Sounds like your running marathons in your sleep! Maybe you need a pedometer?!

LOL nice to see im not the only one. like this morning, i was so tired. all i could remember was that it was christmas time and somebody left a box of christmas lights at my front door. wtf does that mean????

My memory of my dreams vanishes the instant I wake up. I can remember that I was dreaming, and I may have a strong emotion or feeling of some kind, but no memory of the dream itself. So, it's not just you.

You probably dream more often than you realize. Most people dream every night. Even people who are good at remembering their dreams usually only remember the ones that come right before they wake up.

My aunt has a "sleep lab".. She is pretty hardcore as she is one of the people who get certain drugs passed and other cr@p like that. She says your dreams are never remembered. At least not in REM. I find it hard to believe for situations like this. The dreams that you wake up rememebering that seem like they took hours to dream are suppose to be just the last few minutes of your sleep. I find this hard to believe also.

Maybe you got so much going on in your head that your not hitting REM sleep?.. I know stress is probably the biggest factor here. Sounds like it is time for a VACATION!!!!!!!

i always seem to remember the ones i would like to forget...

Dude...
Here's what you do. Go into your bathroom and turn off all the lights. Chant into the mirror, "I do believe in Santa Claus", 100 times. When you're done, santa will come out of the mirror and give you a box of christmas lights, but the christmas lights will really be shrunken heads. Creepy, right? Your dream was an omen though, so what're you gonna do...
