Do you rinse or replace polishing pads?

I cut my own filter pads from polyester batting I purchased from craft shop that costs less than a nickel a piece. So I don't bother to get my hand dirty to clean out poops from used pads. Besides, new pad is more spongy and traps fine particles more effectively than recyled pads.

I use polyfill. I toss it and replacr. Bag cost me around $5 and I've used maybe 1/8th of the bag in 6 months

I bought 500 feet of floss. Cheap stuff but lasts about two months. I rinse it once every two weeks.
