Well long story short woke up this morning to find my tank with power out. Alot of my fish died, and one I'm concerned about trying to keep from dying. Also a bit of a flood(sump). It was a major blow honestly. :(

When I woke this morning to my barramundi splashing about in a powerless tank he was laying on his side breathing heavy. Only thing I knew to do was to do syphon out old water and replace with new at the same time. And airate with batter aerator. Remove other dead fish and try to prop him up(he was on his side).

I propped him up and after a minute of holding him up he was able to regain his balance on his own. He puked all his food from last night shortly there after which I cleaned up. Now he is breathing up right on his own, moves a little but mostly sitting on the bottom(it's been 6 hours). All his appendages(pectoral, anal/dorsel/caudel fin) seem to be in working order.

Anyone else every saved a fish from oxygen deprevation other conditions where you find a fish half dead and able to save it? IE. Anyone saved a fish and had it be back to go health when it was laying on it's side/dying? :( Just wondering if people who have done similar think he'll ever recooperate fully or he'll have to be put down?
:(

Bad freaking day in the hobby..

I had a few dats that were like that I added salt and extra airstones and they recovered to normal but died 2 weeks after the originall problem

So sorry to hear. I haven't gone thru this so not sure about his survival rate. We all have these type of days. I know I have had my share of massive amounts of water spilled in my basement. I will hit you up soon man.
