I have recently purchased 2 female cons and 2 firemouths, a pictus catfish and some i think rosy barbs all under 1 inch. I just got recently interested in african cichlids and was wonderin if i can have a few with these centrals. Is it ok.

depends on what you want, yes you technically can put certian africans in there, but africans such as mbuna would def. not work. It would be better to keep them seperate.

Nope, the cons. will destroy everything, unless it's with mbunas and relatives. But I say no because the water hardness, etc, etc, won't be fair to one or the other.
