Do you think it will make it?

I got this bichir that decided it wanted to eat a fairly large peacock and it just so happened to bite off more than I think it can handle. So it's now literally choking on it's meal. It's barely breathing at the moment. Any suggestions as to what to do?

Can't pull it out, the tail of the peacock is just inside the closed mouth, would do much more harm trying to get it out.

Why did you pull him out of the water?
If he got it down he should of been fine but putting the stress on him right after such a meal probably did a lot more harm then good...

Thought he was dead since he was upside down and had no signs of life, I put him back in the water when I noticed some life.
It was an African peacock.
